| Ingredients | 3oz margarine 2 oz soft brown sugar 2 teaspoons cocoa Pinch of salt Vanilla essence 4oz self raising flour 1oz cornflakes, crushed To decorate melted chocolate almonds optional |

| Preparation | Cream together the margarine and the sugar then stir in the cocoa salt and vanilla essence. Mix well. Beat in gradually and alternately the self raising flour and the crushed cornflakes. Knead well and shape into balls about the size of a walnut. Place onto a lightly greased baking sheet and allow enough room for them to spread. Bake on gas mark 3, 325°F / 160°C for 15 minutes until they just start to firm. When they have cooled, ice with the melted chocolate and decorate with the almonds if liked. |
