| Ingredients | 1 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs, well beaten 2 tablespoons sour cream 2 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 pinch salt 1/2 cup poppy seeds |

| Preparation | Cream the butter, then add the sugar and beat the mixture until light. Blend in the eggs and the sour cream. Sift the flour, the baking soda and the salt, then add in the poppy seeds. Add to the butter/sugar/egg mix, and combine thoroughly. Chill the dough in the fridge for 15 minutes to make for easier handling. Roll the biscuit mix out thinly and cut into squares or other shapes using a biscuit cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a moderate oven (375F.) until light brown. Cool on a wire rack before eating. |
