Recipe Name Norwegian Almond Sticks

Ingredients 1 cup butter, melted
1 egg white, unbeaten
1/2 cup chopped almonds
3 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 eggs, well beaten
1 cup sugar
Preparation Beat together the eggs and sugar and then blend in the melted butter.

Slowly add the sifted flour and baking powder, stirring as you add them.

Ensure the ingredients are well mixed.

Flour a board and roll the mixture out thinly.

Cut into narrow strips about 6 to 8 cm long.

Place on a lightly greased tray or sheet of baking parchment.

Glaze by brushing the biscuits with the unbeated egg white, and sprinkle with chopped almonds.

Bake for about 10 minutes at 350F.
