Recipe Name Grantham Gingerbreads

Ingredients 4 oz butter or firm margarine
4 oz castor sugar
2 level teaspoons ground ginger
4 oz self raising flour
Preparation Cream the fat and sugar together until lightly softening.

Add the ginger and then the flour to form a stiff dough.

Roll into balls about half the size of a golf ball.

Place these onto ungreased baking trays well apart and bake at 250 F / 120 C for about three quarters of an hour in the lower part of the oven.
