|Ingredients||24 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
|Preparation||In a large bowl, beat the sugar into the butter.
Mix the baking soda and flour together in a different medium bowl.
Add the flour-baking soda mixture to the butterand sugar in the large bowl.
Add the vanilla.
Wrap the mixture in wax paper to form a snake-like roll.
Chill overnight in the fridge.
Cut into slices about 1/4 inch thick.
Place the slices on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350 F in oven for about 10 minutes, or until they turn a light brown.
Place on wire racks to cool.
